Flights to Ghana
Ghana has one international Airport, Kotoka International Airport in Accra. There are seven small regional and domestic airports scattered around the country. All flights in an out of the country are routed via Accra.
From the U.S.A. Delta Airlines flies non-stop four time a week from John F. Kennedy Airport. British Airways operates a regular connection direct to Accra from London/Heathrow, while Ghana International Airlines and British based Astraeus fly from London/Gatwick. From mainland Europe KLM flies daily direct from Amsterdam to Accra, Lufthansa daily from Frankfurt and Alitalia daily from Milan.
From the Middle East Emirates Air flies non-stop daily from Dubai. Flights from Australia are customarily routed via Johannesburg, from where South African Airways flies four times a week non-stop.
The cheapest flight into Ghana from Europe is via Tripoli from London/Gatwick on Libyan airline Afriqiyah Airways, and catching this connection from the U.S.A is usually the cheapest means to access the country from there.
A number of regional operators connect Accra with most of the main regional countries and capitals, as well as a reasonably reliable domestic network of flights and connections.
