Hotels In Lesotho
Do not search too hard for urban ambience in Maseru, the national capital; it does not exist. The city sprawls haphazardly in all directions, and cannot in good conscience be described as attractive. It does, however, attract a certain amount of business travel, so it is not entirely without pleasant accommodation options.
A handful of these fall into the lodge category, which is a concept popular in South Africa, and which is a pleasant alternative to mainstream and brand name hotels. These are usually themed along African lines, and some offer extremely high standards of food and accommodation, as well as trips and tours into the surrounding area.
This is likewise the case in the outlying areas where many of the main attractions are served by lodges, guesthouses and country hotels that ooze local character and offer safe and affordable access to the sights and sound of the country.
